Upcycled Black Lace Oversized Polo Top
Wrong by accident. Right by choice.

An oversized anorak polo in Sbagliato lace — an Oscalito deadstock lace in which one white yarn refused the black dye and still shows through. Bands of black lace are sewn across the body, creating a tone-on-tone stripe that alternates sheer and denser areas. Polo collar, invisible chest closure, slightly flared sleeves. Re-produced in Turin from Oscalito deadstock, as part of the Oscalito × Canto Primo capsule.

FIT NOTE This blazer is upcycled from a vintage classic men's blazer. It preserves its original structured shoulders and oversized silhouette, reworked. Because each piece begins from a unique vintage garment, slight variations between sizes may occur — this is part of what makes each blazer one-of-a-kind.

The piece

The Sbagliato Dark Top is an oversized anorak polo from the Oscalito × Canto Primo capsule. Strips of black lace are sewn onto the Sbagliato lace base in horizontal bands, creating a tone-on-tone stripe that plays with transparency and adds a preppy dimension to the classic polo. It has a polo collar, an invisible chest closure and long, slightly flared sleeves.

The material

Oscalito is an Italian luxury intimate-wear house based in Turin. Sbagliato — Italian for “mistaken” — is a lace from Oscalito's deadstock: during its black dyeing, one of its white yarns did not absorb the dye as expected, and the fabric was set aside. Canto Primo kept it for exactly that reason: the white thread remains visible beneath the black lace bands. The top was designed around that existing material and re-produced in Turin. No new fabric was produced.

Why it is limited

The capsule is built entirely from existing material, so quantities are capped: 500 pieces across 15 styles. When the material runs out, the style ends.
