In the 1950s, Murano glass beads were unique treasures, crafted with artisanal mastery. These beads, now rare and no longer produced due to the high labor costs, tell a fascinating story.Imagine the long glass rods, meticulously cut by hand. They were then placed in a machine that rotated them with a special lime, smoothing and rounding them before polishing them to a shine. These beads came from the stock of a Parisian factory owned by Venetians, which produced exquisite bijouterie for the Parisian market in the post-war years. But in the 1980s, with the arrival of Chinese plastic on the market, glass could not compete with the lower prices, and the factory had to close. 
During the dismantling, an artisan from Turin discovered and purchased the stock. When we heard this story, we were inspired to design a line of accessories that honored this tradition and these extraordinary beads.
