A vintage black leather trench, belted and classic at first glance. Along the under-sleeves, white leather inserts are built with outward-facing seams and sculpted folds, creating a raised, graphic texture that only reveals itself in movement. Subtle from a distance, expressive up close. Reworked in Turin as part of the Oscalito × Canto Primo capsule.

The piece

The Luxifer Leather Trench is a one-of-a-kind piece from the Oscalito × Canto Primo capsule. A belted vintage black leather trench is reworked with white leather inserts along the under-sleeves, creating a black-and-white dialogue that echoes the visual language of the Sacro line. The white leather is built with outward-facing seams and sculpted folds, giving the surface a raised, almost sculptural texture.

The material

Each trench is upcycled from an existing vintage leather trench, combined with recovered white leather, and reworked in Turin by Canto Primo. No new leather was produced.

Why it is one of a kind

The design repeats, the piece does not. Each trench is reworked from a different vintage garment, so the leather, its patina and small details vary from piece to piece and from the photos.

What does “Luxifer” mean? It plays on the Latin for “light-bearer” — the fallen angel who kept the light. Here, the light is the white leather hidden under the black.
